Itinerary
First day: After breakfast, we will leave for Kaya where we will visit the local market, and then continue on to Bani. Known as the village of seven mosques, Bani is known for having the largest mosque made of clay in the world.
We will continue on to Dori where we will have lunch before heading to Gorom-Gorom where we will visit a professional training center for women. We will spend the night in a camp.
Second Day: In the morning, we will visit Essakane, where there are traditional gold mines. We will visit the livestock market in Markoye, and also visit the beautiful ponds and nenuphars in Sonrhai. In the afternoon, on the way to Oursi, we will try to observe hippos that live in the nearby lake. We will spend the night in a camp.
Third Day: We will begin the day with a visit to a region known for its lakes which provide a paradise for aquatic birds. We will also be able to see numerous animals that come to drink at the lake: zebus, goats, and sheep.
Next stop will be Arbinda, located in the midst of rocky hills and known for its ancient cave paintings.
The last leg of the trip will take us to Djibo and Kongoussi where we will spend the night.
Fourth Day: Before returning to Ouagadougou, we will visit Manega and a museum dedicated to the Mossi culture.
We will return to Ouagadougou in the afternoon.
