Itinerary

First day: Upon your arrival at the airport in Ouagadougou, you will receive a traditional Burkinabe welcome and then be taken to your hotel.

Second Day: After breakfast, we will head to Kaya to visit a market to see locally crafted copper objects and a variety of baskets. Continuing on to Bani, we will visit several mosques located on the hills. Just a bit further on is Dori where you will have lunch. After lunch, we will go to Gorom-Gorum and spend the night in a very comfortable camp.

Third Day: In the morning, we will visit the town of Gorom-Gorom, the local market and a professional training centre for women. After lunch, we will visit a traditional gold mine before heading to Markoye where we will spend the night in a traditional Peul family home.

Fourth Day: We will travel to Oursi where we will arrive in the after noon and have lunch. Later, we will visit a lake with a large variety of birds; it is a bird paradise for any avid bird watcher.

Fifth Day: Prepare for an exceptional day as we will get up early and watch the sun come up over the sand dunes. Then, we will head towards Déou and Arbinda to visit ancient cave paintings. In the afternoon, we will visit a livestock market in Djibo and then continue on to Kongoussi where we will spend the night.

Sixth Day: Before heading back to Ouagadougou, we will visit a women's cooperative and some vegetable gardens in Kongoussi. On the way back, we will visit the museum in Manega to see masks, statues and historic paintings. Then, on to Ouagadougou where we will spend the night.

Seventh Day: In the morning, we will visit the city and see some important sites. The afternoon will be free and the departure for the airport will be in the evening.
